Victron Battery Balancer
The Battery Balancer ensures the charge level of two series-connected 12V batteries or several parallel strings of these batteries stays the same. When the charge voltage of a 24V battery system goes above 27V, the Battery Balancer turns on and checks the voltage of the two series-connected batteries. Consequently, it draws up to 1A from the battery (or parallel-connected batteries) with the higher voltage. This difference in charge ensures all batteries reach the same charge level.
Key Features
- Voltage Activation: The Battery Balancer turns on when the charge voltage of a 24V battery system goes above 27V.
- Current Draw: It draws up to 1A from the higher voltage battery to balance the charge.
- Equalization: This ensures all batteries reach the same charge level, thereby improving battery performance and lifespan.
Usage
- Balancing Series-Connected Batteries: The device is ideal for equalizing the charge of two series-connected 12V batteries.
- Balancing Parallel Strings: Additionally, it works for balancing several parallel strings of series-connected batteries.
Scalability
- Multiple Balancers: If needed, you can use several balancers together to handle larger battery systems.
- 48V Systems: For example, three Battery Balancers can balance a 48V battery bank.
Applications
- Renewable Energy Systems: It ensures balanced charge in solar, wind, or other renewable energy battery banks.
- Automotive and Marine: Moreover, it keeps batteries in vehicles and boats performing well.
- Industrial Battery Systems: Finally, it is useful for balancing batteries in large industrial systems.
